Ex-president Mahama backs Ghana to hammer Nicaragua in today’s friendly

Former President, John Dramani Mahama is optimistic that Ghana will beat Nicaragua in the friendly match scheduled to be played this evening.

The leading member of the National Democratic Congress was disappointed just like all Ghanaians last Friday when Brazil took the Black Stars to the cleaners.

At the end of that contest, Brazil beat Ghana 3-0 in fine fashion.

Ahead of the second friendly match of the September international break today, John Dramani Mahama says a win for Ghana will do the Black Stars a lot of good.

The ex-president says he is trusting the team to beat the opponent this evening.

“Need to shake off the glitch in the 1st half of the Ghana/Brazil game. An emphatic victory against Nicaragua in this friendly soccer match will boost the confidence of the Black Stars. Trusting the team to deliver as we continue to support them.

“Go Black Stars Go,” part of a post on the Facebook page of the former president reads.

This evening’s friendly match between Ghana and Nicaragua will be played at the Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Lorca, Spain.
