Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan has revealed his plans of taking to the coaching field after he hangs up his football boots.

The 30 year old who plays as a striker for Shanghai SIPG of the Chinese Super League, claims he has what it takes to lead from the bench as well.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Footballghana.com Gyan recalled his experience on the bench of the Black stars in a game against Togo at the Tamale Sports stadium and was ruled out due to injury but had to lead from the bench.

“There was one qualifier against Togo in Tamale and I was on the bench, I couldn’t sit, you have to inspire the boys and it comes naturally.”

“I will try and do some coaching course and hopefully become black stars coach one day.” he said.

Gyan is currently in Ghana to oversee his boxing promotion as his fighter Emmanuel game boy Tagoe seeks to defend his WBA Lightweight title for the second time against Filipino Carlo Magali on Friday July 15 at the Accra Sports stadium.
