Ashimeru became a key cog to Vincent Kompany’s outfit since breaking into the starting line up in February.

Footballghana.com understands, his former manager and current Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is a big admirer of the Ghanaian and is determined to acquiring his services this summer.

Kompany was Anderlecht boss for two years before leaving by mutual consent in May, having led them to third in the Belgian top flight.

Ashimeru joined Anderlecht on a permanent basis last summer after an impressive loan deal with the club.

He signed a four year contract with the club until 2025.

The highly-rated midfielder is currently valued at 3.5m euros by Transfermarkt.
