German-born Ghanaian attacker Christopher Antwi-Adjei is set to visit Ghana’s embassy in Germany this week to file for a Ghanaian passport after receiving his maiden call-up to play for the Black Stars, footballghana.com can exclusively report.

The 25-year old who plays his club football for German Bundesliga side SC Paderborn has seen tremendous transformation in the last couple of seasons where he was playing in the lower division.

Following a good start to the ongoing 2019/2020 season, Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah has invited him for Ghana’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against South Africa, as well as Sao Tomé and Principe.

Footballghana.com understands that Christopher Antwi-Adjei does not possess a Ghanaian passport but will visit the country’s embassy in Germany to begin the process to acquire one.

He should finish everything by the close of the week before flying to Ghana a week from today to join the camp of the Black Stars.
