EXCLUSIVE: Emmanuel Lomotey to miss Extremadura’s match against Las Palmas this weekend

Published on: 29 November 2019

Ghanaian international Emmanuel Lomotey is expected to miss Extremadura’s match against Las Palmas this weekend in the Spanish Segunda Division.

The hardworking midfielder has missed the team’s last 3 matches in the division due to his involvement with the Black Meteors of Ghana in the CAF U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

He had a good tournament but unfortunately missed out on winning the title with his side after they were beaten in the semi-finals by their counterpart from Cote d’Ivoire.

He was given a couple of days rest and expected to join his Extremadura teammates this week but information gathered indicates that he is yet to report to camp.

What that means is that he will not be in action for the Spanish lower division side when they lock horns with Las Palmas in a match week 17 fixture.

He is however expected to join his teammates this evening as they wrap up preparations for the crucial fixture on Sunday, December 1, 2019.
