Gazişehir Gaziantep have agreed a season-long loan deal with Deportivo Alaves for the services of Ghanaian striker Patrick Twumasi in the on-going transfer window, Footballghana.com can exclusively report.
Twumasi, who had a nightmare spell at the Spanish side in his debut season, is set to join the Turkish side ahead of the start of the 2019/20 season.
The 25-year-old struggled for game time at Alaves after joining them from Astana, making only 14 appearances last term.
He was linked with several clubs in Europe before agreeing to move to Turkey to revive his career in the upcoming season.
Footballghana.com understands Gazişehir Gaziantep wanted to sign the Ghana international on a permanent basis but Deportivo Alaves refused hence an agreement to loan him for a season.
According to reports in Spain, he could be on his way to Gaziantep in the coming days should the two clubs finalise documentation processes.
