Exclusive: Ghana to camp in Equatorial Guinea ahead of 2017 AFCON campaign

Published on: 20 October 2016

Ghana will hold their pre-tournament camp in Equatorial Guinea ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, footballghana.com can exclusively report.

The Black Stars will be based in Malabo for two weeks before leaving for Port Gentil where they will play their group matches.

According to our source, the choice of Malabo is to help the team acclimatize with the weather condition in Gabon since Equatorial Guinea is not far from where the team will be based.

Ghana were drawn in Group D of the Africa Cup of Nations where they will face Egypt, Mali and Uganda.
