EXCLUSIVE: Ghana coach Avram Grant to play major role at Global Tech Innovation for Sports in Brazil.

Head coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant will be in Sao Paulo, Brazil for the Latin American round of the Global Tech Innovation for Sports (GTIS). The event is an initiative created by the Hype Foundation who are looking to create the first innovation (ecosystem) into the sports sector, emphasizing innovations based on applications, sports wears (wearables) and broadcasting for athletes, coaches and fans across the world. Hype Foundation seeks to use this event to hunt for a company capable of solving challenges in the world of sports with good innovations. The regional tournament to be held on August 19, 2016 in Sao Paulo, is just one of the eight contests held worldwide and will see Ghana coach Avram Grant as a panel member responsible for selecting the winner. The former Chelsea boss will be joined on the panel by Carlos Arthur Nuzman, president of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), Mac Freeman, senior vice-president of the Denver Broncos, reigning NFL (Football League US) and Mounir Zok, leader of Technology and Innovation US Olympic Committee The winner from Latin America will receive not only prize money but also the support and advice of major companies such as Accenture, Google, Adidas, Nike and Black Lab Sports and will represent the continent at the grand finale which will take place in Rio de Janeiro expected to host teams from United States, Europe and the Middle East.
