Ghana international, Caleb Ekuban will this week sign a three-year contract to join Italian Serie A outfit, Genoa, footballghana.com can exclusively report.

After weeks of speculations over the player’s desire to leave Trabzonspor this summer, he finally handed in a transfer request over the weekend to the Turkish Super Lig club.

Today, sources of your most trusted online portal have confirmed that Caleb Ekuban is on the verge of joining Genoa.

According to the information gathered, the Italian club has reached an agreement with Trabzonspor to sign their top marksman for a fee of 2.2 million euros.

As a result, the 27-year-old will this week fly to Italy where he will undergo a mandatory medical examination.

Once that is sorted, he will sign a three-year contract with Genoa to complete an anticipated transfer.

In the past, Ekuban has had stints with Chievo Verona as well as Leeds United. He has gathered experienced over the last few weeks and is expected to be a key man for Genoa next season if the deal is sealed.
