EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah set to join FC Nantes

Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah is set to join Ligue 1 side FC Nantes after a spell with Anderlecht in the on-going transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.

Appiah, who joined Anderlecht in 2014 from French side Caen has made over 60 appearances for the Belgian powerhouse.

According to reputable sources, the 27-year-old will pen a four-year deal with the Canaries, with Appiah wanting the deal to close as soon as possible.

Nantes remain in advanced fee negotiations with Anderlecht to close a deal, with discussions concerning a fee oscillating around the €500,000 to €800,000.

He will replace his compatriot Enock Kwateng, who is joining Bordeaux on a free transfer.

Dennis has represented France at under-16, under-17, and under-18 level. Appiah plays as a defensive midfielder and is also capable of playing in defence as a central defender.
