Ghanaian forward Majeed Waris is on the verge of joining Spanish side Deportivo Alaves on the transfer deadline day, Footballghana.con can report.
Waris is expected to sign a season-long loan deal with Alaves from Portuguese giants Porto.
According to reports in Spain, the 27-year-old is set to undergo medicals and complete the formalities in the coming hours.
French Ligue 1 side Strasbourg offered to sign the Ghanaian goal poacher on a permanent basis but he has opted to move to Spain for the 2019/20 season.
He spent last season on loan at Nantes where he made 31 appearances and scored five goals for the club.
Nantes were reportedly also interested in resigning the attacker but were unwilling to meet Porto's 6 million Euros asking price.
He has previously played for BK Hacken, Spartak Moscow, Lorient, Valenciennes, Trabzonspor, and Nantes.
