EXCLUSIVE: Kevin-Prince Boateng aiming to stay at Besiktas

Published on: 29 March 2020

The Ghanaian forward moved to Besiktas from Fiorentina on loan and aims to earn a further extension for one year with the Turkish giants, footballghana.com can authoritatively report.

In the contract, it was revealed that the former Barcelona player must play at least 45 minutes in 10 games to trigger an automatic extension and Boateng wants to make that happen.

He has played six games for the side so far but five of them meet the requirement so he has five more games to go. He highly impressed in his first three games, scoring two goals but has not reached the standards set since then.

Footballghana.com understands that the board is reconsidering its stance on Boateng but the player wants to earn their trust.

He is currently self isolating in Turkey due to the coronavirus outbreak and league suspension and has been training hard to get himself in fantastic shape for when the league resumes.
