Kumasi Asante Kotoko has officially contacted Medeama SC to inquire about the availability of midfield kingpin, Justice Blay for a possible transfer.
Confirmed reports indicate that the Porcupine Warriors has formally written to the Yellow and Mauves to express their intention to poach Blay away from Tarkwa to Kumasi.
The Reds have booked their qualification into the next edition of the CAF Champions League after beating Karela United in the finals of the tier 1 of the GFA Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition.
It is believed that they are looking to strengthen their team ahead of the continental campaign and has identified Justice Blay as one of a few players that will give them the needed boost.
Justice Blay who has been on the wish list of Kotoko for a while now has been impressive since joining the Tarkwa based side. He was one of the main men for the club during their campaign in the GFA NC Special Competition
The former Hassacas player is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders on the local scene and will be a good signing for CK Akonnor.
Meanwhile, it is understood that Medeama is yet to reply to the interested party as they regard the player as one of their key assets.
