Footballghana.com can exclusively report that Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor has commenced negotiations with French Ligue 1 club FC Metz to try and sign Ghanaian international John Boye.

The Black Stars defender is still under contract with Metz where he joined last season from Sivasspor on a free transfer after the expiry of his previous contract.

He was instrumental for the Ligue 1 newcomers last season and played a vital role in defense that helped them gain promotion into the top-flight.

Though he missed Metz’s opening match of the season, he returned to the starting lineup on matchday two and impressed at the back.

It is understood that Bursaspor is bent on bringing in reinforcement and has identified the Ghanaian as the man to offer stability in defense.

The player could complete his move in the next couple of days if the Turkish side manages to reach an agreement with Metz.

He has loads of experience as far as playing in Turkey is concerned and will want to prove that he still has the quality at top-level.
