Leifering FC high flying attacker, Samuel Tetteh says his desire for revenge against Hearts of Oak has been fulfilled.

In the first round of the league at the Accra sports stadium, Hearts of Oak and WAFA played out a pulsating one all drawn game, but the Phobians complained bitterly for the delay tactics deployed by their opponents, coupled with fracas between players of WAFA and the medical team of the Ghana Red cross Society stationed at the venue in which the then WAFA player Samuel Tetteh was accused of being the chief culprit.

And, ahead of the clash between the two sides in the week 23 of the Ghana Premier League(GPL), both teams had records to maintain as Hearts of Oak were unbeaten on their travels this season likewise WAFA, who also had a home record to protect, after drawing only three matches and winning nine at the Sogakope turf.

However, on Saturday in the absence of the WAFA talisman, they thumped Hearts of Oak by three unanswered goals to end the Phobians impressive away record in this season’s GPL.

“I know that Hearts of Oak could not have escaped our wrath especially on the astro turf. My heart was aching before the start of the game even here in Austria because I wanted to be part of the team to avenge the treatment they meted out to us at the Accra sports stadium, but I’m happy and fulfilled now,” Samuel Tetteh said.

“But I’ll say kudos to the boys for a good job done and also the technical team. The high point of the game was that they’ve sold three key players, but they still managed to beat Hearts of Oak who in my opinion are one of the strong teams in the league.” The Black Stars winger told Happy FM's Reuben Obodai.

Samuel Tetteh joined Redbull Salzburg in the off-season but was loaned out to the club’s feeder club FC Liefering, where his three goals in five games have propelled the club the summit of the league table.
