General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana [PFAG], Anthony Baffoe has urged the Ghana Football Association to replicate their ongoing pre-world cup activities when the Black Queens qualify for a major tournament.

The country's football governing body has announced activities for the Black Stars ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

Over the weekend, a walk with the legends and dinner was held to whip up support for the team.

“I want to make a case for women’s football. What we are doing, we are focusing on Qatar 2022," Baffoe said.

“All our blessings are with the players because we have been on the pitch before.

“We will support them. But lets us also think about the women [Black Queens] when their time comes.

“We will be with you to do the walk also for the ladies," he added.

The Black Queens were eliminated by Nigeria in the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Mercy Tagoe’s team will subsequently miss the next Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.

Ghana will be eyeing a return to the global tournament in 2027.
