Nsoatreman FC midfielder, Abdul Manaf Umar, attributes his team's MTN FA Cup victory to a strong collective effort by his teammates.

The Nsoatre-based club secured the trophy with a 5-4 win in a penalty shootout against Bofoakwa Tano, following a 1-1 draw after extra time on Sunday evening, June 23rd at the University of Ghana Stadium.

This triumph marks Nsoatreman's first-ever win in the domestic cup competition since its establishment.

Manaf, a key player under Maxwell Konadu's coaching in the 2023/24 season, praised his teammates for their pivotal role in achieving the historic victory.

"We are thrilled. It was a tough match, but we fought hard, and worked together as a unit, and that's what earned us the win," he shared with Joy Sports.

In addition to the trophy, Nsoatreman earns the opportunity to represent Ghana in the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup.

Looking forward, Manaf emphasized the importance of rest before preparing for the continental challenge.

"Right now, we'll take some time to rest before we resume training and prepare for what lies ahead," he added.
