FA Respond to Man Utd's Exclusion of FA Cup Trophy in Team Photo With Hilarious Tweet

Published on: 28 October 2016

The FA have responded to Manchester United excluding the FA Cup from their 2016/17 squad photo, via social media.

The Red Devils came under some due criticism during the week after releasing a wallpaper of the said photo above for download on their official website.

The photo displayed the FA Community shield won by Jose Mourinho in his first competitive match as United boss, but was bereft of the FA Cup trophy won by Louis van Gaal last season.

Also, Bastian Schweinsteiger was nowhere to be found.

Many view this as a puerile stance by Mourinho, as it is thought that the Portuguese tactician deliberately left the piece ofsilverwareout because he wasn't the one who won it.

Well the FA aren't impressed either, and made it known with a very short but direct tweet in response to United's tweeting of the photo.

@ManUtd 😔

The disappointment couldn't have been more apparent. But fortunately, some goodhearted chap came up with a quick fix.
