Ex-Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda he rubbished claims that some Black Stars players disrespected head coach James Kwesi Appiah during the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil.

That edition of the global showpiece remains one of Ghana’s worse in terms of bad incidences that rocked the camp of the team and ended up in the media.

At the end of the showpiece, reports emerged that some players disrespected Kwesi Appiah who was in charge of the team.

Reacting to that claim in a recent interview on Ghanaweb’s Sports Check, Fatawu Dauda has clarified that nothing of that sort happened.

He explained, ‘’That issue, I was surprised people were saying that because I’m not sure a player can do that’’.

‘’Coach Kwesi Appiah gave me my debut in the national team in 2013 and followed up by inviting me for the subsequent tournaments so personally I don’t think that a player could disrespect a coach’’.

‘’When I was in the team with Coach Kwesi Appiah, I never witnessed such a situation in the Black Star camp”.
