The father of Gremio star Arthur Melo admits Barcelona representatives have assured him they expect the midfielder to move to the Nou Camp.
Three Barca representatives were in Brazil last month to meet with Gremio and Arthur's representatives.
His father, Ailton, said: "They told me that they had come to observe Arthur closely, that they liked his performance and that, if everything was fine, he would soon be playing for Barcelona.
"It was the only contact I had with representatives of Barcelona until today."
Interestingly, Barca sports chief Robert Fernandez was in Brazil last week and met with Arthur face-to-face.
