FIFA changes possible sanction of Kotoko to transfer ban

The world's governing football body, FIFA have changed their possible sanction of Kotoko from relegation to transfer ban if they fail to pay their debts.

FIFA have tasked the Porcupine Warriors to pay $240,000 for delaying in the payment of money to Esperance over the wrongful transfer of Emmanuel Clottey in 2015.

Kotoko must make the payment of $180,000 fee to the Tunisian giants regarding Emmanuel Clottey’s transfer.

The Porcupine Warriors have also been told pay $45,000 as interest to Esperance, and also an additional $15,000 to the committee that sat on the case, totaling the figures of the money to $240,000.

They have also been given a deadline of 17 May to make the payment or face a transfer ban.
