FIFA president commends coaches, technical directors for 2022 World Cup success

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has expressed his admiration and gratitude towards the coaches and technical directors who participated in the 2022 World Cup for their exceptional efforts in organizing a highly successful tournament.

Among the distinguished attendees at the two-day post-FIFA World Cup 2022 Coaches Forum held in Doha, Qatar was Chris Hughton, the coach of the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars.

Hughton, who served as the technical advisor during the 2022 World Cup, joined forces with Bernhard Lippert, the Technical Director of the GFA, as well as the Technical Directors of all member associations of FIFA.

These 32 coaches, representing their respective national teams, led their squads through a rollercoaster of emotions during the highly competitive tournament, capturing the attention of football enthusiasts worldwide.

During his speech at the two-day forum, Infantino expressed his deep appreciation for the coaches and technical directors, acknowledging their profound understanding of the immense pressure, intense emotions, and the captivating aura that football generates.

He stated, "From everyone in football, I have the utmost admiration for each and every one of you. You possess a unique understanding of the dynamics and intricacies of the beautiful game."

Infantino attributed the remarkable success of the 2022 FIFA World Cup to the exceptional performance and dedication demonstrated by the coaches and technical directors.

Furthermore, the FIFA President encouraged the coaches and technical directors to utilize the forum as an opportunity to prepare themselves for the upcoming 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
