FIFA U-17 World Cup: Algeria referee for Ghana versus Mali quarter final clash

Algerian Referee, Mehdi Abid Charef, has been appointed to officiate the  quarter-final encounter between the Black Starlets of Ghana and the Les Aiglenolets of Mali in the 2017 FIFA World Cup in India.

The highly experienced referee will be at the center of events as the Black Starlets of Ghana engage the African Champions on Saturday.

Abid Charef will be assisted on the lines by Abdelhak Etviali from Algeria as well Anouar Hmila from Tunisia with Robert Madden from Scotland will serve as the fourth official.

Ghana will be facing Mali in the repeat of the Africa Junior Championship, where the young eagles beat them by a goal to nil to lift the title.

The highly anticipated clash is slated for the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati on Saturday at 11:30 pm local time.

Meanwhile, Ghana will welcome the return of defender Yussif Abdul Razak, who missed the last two games due to inury and winger Ibrahim Sadiq, who is returning from suspension.
