Ghana Football Association Executive Council member, Linford Asamoah Boadu says early preparations would be immensely beneficial to the Black Princesses ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The 2022 edition of the biennial tournament is scheduled to be staged in Costa Rica from Wednesday, 10th August, to Sunday, 28th August 2022.

The Princesses booked a ticket to their sixth consecutive global showpiece after 5-1 aggregate win over Ethiopia.

"We called on the GFA today to bring to their attention our needs and measures we have discussed as management and technical team to help the Princesses," Boadu said as quoted ghanafa.org.

"A lot was discussed at the meeting and we are very glad that the GFA is willing to help us make our campaign a success. They listened to us and advised us on what needs to be done."

"We will have several meetings going forward to know how to help strengthen the team to compete at the world stage. We want to break the jinx of not qualifying from the group stage and I believe this team is capable of doing that," he added.

The competition will feature 16 teams divided into four groups. The matches will be played in two cities: San José and Alajuela.

The draw for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2022 is scheduled in San José on 5th May 2022.

The Black Princesses will resume camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence on Monday, May 2, with 40 players expected in to report to camp.
