Finnish top-flight side Ilves has named Ghanaian international Baba Mensah as their best defender for the 2018/2019 Veikkausliiga season.
The former Inter Allies man has been an integral part of his club since the campaign started and continuously showed good form on every matchday.
His performance as part of the backline of the Yellow and Blacks has hugely impressed everyone at Ilves who have no decided to reward him for his efforts.
At the end of the regular season in Finland, Baba Mensah made 33 appearances and managed to bag one goal in the process.
Having helped his side to qualify for the playoff, the 25-year-old has been named as the best defender for Ilves.
This is his second award this month after being adjudged the Most Valuable Defender in the Finish top-flight at the end of the regular season.
