Five Kotoko players named in Northern select team for renaming of Tamale Sports Stadium ceremonial game

Five of Kumasi Asante Kotoko players have been named in the Northern select side to face the Southern team at the renaming of the Tamale Sports Stadium to the Alhaji Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Kotoko Captain Amos Frimpong, Striker Saddick Adams, goalkeeper Felix Annan, Seth Opare and Awal Mohammed have all been selected for the occasion to represent the Northern Sector.

The Tamale Sports Stadium is being renamed to the former Vice President who passed on five years ago. The government decided to honour the legacy of the former Real Tamale United board Chairman with the renaming of the stadium.

A ceremonial match between the Northern and South Sector will be played with an amount of GHC 50,000 at stake as prize money.
