Five things that you probably didn't know about Junior Firpo

- He was born in August 1996 in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, and came to Spain when he was six years old – where he lived in the Malagueña area of Benalmádena.

- Junior began his career at Atlético Benamiel and Puerto Malagueño. In 2014 he began at Real Betis in their junior side, and wasted no time in rising through the ranks to make his debut in the first team in 2017.

- Junior often mentions that never really liked football when he was a child, and would even return home crying after training sessions.

- Francis is one of his best friends. They were teammates in Puerto Malagueño and both made the leap to the verdiblanca team in Seville. 

- He played a friendly match for the Dominican Republic's national team, but he was called up in September 2018 and made his debut with the Spain Under-21 side.
