Footballers, club administrators, friends, and sympathizers joined John Paintsil on Saturday, June 27, 2020, to offer support as he observed the one-week of the passing of his mother.

Madam Juliana Adiaba Paintsil was pronounced dead at the Nyaho Clinic back in April after she was admitted due to an illness.

Due to restrictions as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis, John Paintsil and the family decided to push the one-week observation forward.

At Tema this weekend, the observation has taken place but with a limited number of people to observe social distancing protocols.

Present to mourn with John Paintsil were ex-Ghana midfielder Godwin Attram, Black Queens head coach Mrs. Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo, Peter Ofori Quaye, Awudu Issaka and many others.

The burial and funeral of Madam Juliana Adiaba Paintsil will take place between September 4 to 6, 2020, in Tema.
