Ghana Premier League side Karela United FC are close to sealing a partnership deal with a foreign-based investor according to reports.
Footballghana.com understands that the Nzema side are already locked in a negotiation for the possible partnership following the death of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Brigidi last year.
The outfit yet to partner Karela United FC is a Nigerian Company. The agreement which is set to boost the club financial difficulties and the well being of the officials have reached a massive 70% deal, the source disclosed.
The Aiyinase based outfit after the lost of Lawyer David Brigidi has faced challenges in managing the affairs of the club since September, last year.
Mr. Brigidi, a lawyer by profession, was elected Senator for the Bayelsa Central constituency of Bayelsa State, Nigeria at the start of the fourth Republic running on the People Democratic Party (PDP) platform.
The 56-year-old who hails from Nigeria was a senator for the Bayelsa Central constituency of Bayelsa State between 1997 to 2007.
Mr. Brigidi bought Karela FC in 2013 and has bankrolled the team as they earn promotion to the top flight for the first time.
He also owned Karela Oil & Gas Nigeria, Karela Hotels & Resort Ghana, Kareela Oil & Gas Ghana, Re-Routine Air Limited, Adef Energy Services, Shores & Savannah (Law Partners).
