Former Chelsea Star Backs Manchester City's Pep Guardiola as the Best Coach in the World

Pep Guardiola has not adapted to life in the Premier League as seamlessly as he seemed to at Barcelona and Bayern Munich.


The 45-year-old'sManchester City sit fourth in the table, four points off league leaders Chelsea, who inflicted a damaging 1-3 defeat on their title rivals on Saturday.


Guardiola has failed to win in five of the CItizens last ten league fixtures and will be without key pairFernandinho and Sergio Aguero for the next few games, due to late red cards both received in Saturday's defeat.

However, while many fans have been underwhelmed by the the Champions League winning coach's start to life at the Etihad, Guardiola still has the backing of some of the game's influential voices.


Samuel Eto'o played under Guardiola at Barcelona, as well as for Chelsea. The Cameroonian toldTelefootthat his former employer has everything he needs to succeed in Manchester.


"For me, he's still the best coach in the world," Eto'o said.

He always wants his teams to play and he will impose this idea in England.His great strength is that he never changes his ideas. Technically, Pep remains the best. There's nothing else to be said."


35-year-old Eto'o is now at Turkish Super Lig sideAntalyaspor, after an illustrious career that encompassed spells at Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Everton as well as the Catalan giants and Chelsea.


The four time African Player of the Yearhas won three Champions League titles in his career, including one under Guardiola in 2009.


His spell at Stamford Bridge lasted one season, while he netted nine goals in 21 league appearances.
