Former Germany Keeper Tim Wiese Set to Make WWE Debut Following Intensive Training Camp

Former Germany keeper Tim Wiese is set to become an official WWE wrestler when he makes his debut in the ring in November following an intensive training camp.

The 34-year-old, who has represented the likes of Werder Bremen, 1899 Hoffenheim and FC Kaiserslautern, as well as his native country Germany on six occasions, will be swapping the goal posts for a wrestling ring as he looks to become the first professional player to make the switch to the entertainment sport.

Wiese took part in a three week extensive training program last monthin Orlando, Floridain preparation for the WWE live event inMunich's Olympiahalle after beingpersonally invited by wrestling legend Triple H, the 14-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative.

Since then, the former shot-stopper has been training in Cologne in a specially built ring and training complex, and during his transformation, the already in-shape Bundesliga keeper has bunged on 34kg, now weighing in at a scary 129kg. Crikey.

According toFox Sports, Wiese has spoken of his excitement at finally making his debut in the prestigious ring: "It's awesome to make my first WWE appearance in such a great match. I worked hard for this moment and I can't wait to step into the WWE ring."

Rumours suggest that Wiese will join up with WWE VeteransSheamus and Cesaro in a three-man team against The Shining Stars� and Bo Dallas.
