Former Ghana captain Kofi Pare believes renaming Kwesi Appiah as Black Stars coach will not be out of place.

The Black Stars is currently without a coach following the resignation of Otto Addo after the 2022 World Cup.

The Germany-based trainer resigned to continue his talent development role at Borussia Dortmund.

The Ghana FA are currently in search of a new trainer for the Black Stars and the legendary Ghanaian defender in an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM has backed Kwesi Appiah’s reappointment.

“I think Kwesi Appiah coming back as Black Stars coach will not be bad with support from Oti Akenteng. They are already in the system so they just have to correct the wrongs and move on”

“It will be prudent to combine Kwesi Appiah and Oti Akenteng and I believe they can do the job with support from Ghanaians. Kwesi Appiah wasn’t that bad during his time with the national team” he said.

The Ghana FA is expected to name a new coach for the national team by the end of January.
