Former Ghana goalie Richard Kingston axed from current Black Stars technical team

Former Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingston has lost his position on the technical team of the Black Stars, according to Kumai-based Kessben FM.

The former Blackpool shot stopper served as the goalkeepers’ trainer during Otto Addo’s reign as Black Stars coach.

Following the appointment of Chris Hughton as new Ghana coach, it has been reported that the 44-year old has been relieved from his position.

It is said the Ghana FA will appoint an expatriate goalkeepers coach as replacement of the former Ghana international.

Following the departure of Otto Addo, the Ghana FA has appointed Chris Hughton as the new Black Stars coach.

He will be deputized by Didi Dramani and George Boateng who served as assistant coaches under the German-based coach.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars management committee is set for a meeting on march 9, 2023 and will announce the exit of Richard Kingston in the coming days.
