Former Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston blames fatigue for Hearts of Oak’s uninspiring performance

Former Ghana international Laryea Kingston has blamed fatigue for Hearts of Oak’s uninspiring performance this season.

The Phobians have had a difficult start to this year’s campaign losing one and drawing three out of the four matches they have played.

The reigning Ghana Premier League champions were crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday losing 4-0 to Algerian club JS Saoura.

In an interview with Citi Sports, Laryea Kingston attributed the club’s defeat to JS Saoura and their poor run of form to fatigue.

“Going into the season, their main focus was on Africa so they did not really focus on the Ghana Premier League,”

“So, in future, I would love to see them planning well and they also need to manage the players very well.

“For me, I think the players have been overused and so fatigue has set in but with time I believe they will bounce back.”
