Ex-Black Stars midfielder Otto Addo has named interim assistant coach at Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund following the sacking of Lucien Favre on Sunday.
The 63-year-old Swiss trainer was shown the exit in the wake of the 5-1 thrashing by Stuttgart at the Signal Iduna Park.
The defeat, which was a third in five league games for Dortmund, left them fifth in the Bundesliga and five points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
Dortmund said that assistant coach Edin Terzic has been appointed as interim manager until the end of the current season.
He will be assisted by Sebastian Geppert and Otto Addo as they look to bounce back from the humiliating defeat.
"Assistant coach Edin Terzic has been appointed as interim manager until the end of the current season. Terzic’s coaching team will be joined by Sebastian Geppert and Otto Addo," the club announced on Sunday.
Addo was appointed as the head scout of the Black Stars team and prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, succeeding Ibrahim Tanko following the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
In April 2019, it was announced that Addo would work for former club Borussia Dortmund as a 'talent coach', having previously held a similar role at Borussia Mönchengladbach since 2017.
Otto Addo made 15 appearances and scored two goals for the Ghana between 1996 and 2006.
