Former Ghana midfielder Yussif Chibsah to challenge Linford Asamoah Boadu for Eastern RFA chairmanship position

Former Asante Kotoko and Ghana midfielder, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah is set to contest Linford Asamoah Boadu for the Eastern Regional Football Association chairmanship position, according to local media reports.

The ex-Black Meteors captain, who recently bagged a Masters Degree in International Sports Law wants to bring his expertise into the regional football. he is expected to pick his forms before it closure on Friday, August 11, 2023.

Chibsah who also represents players at the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has been working in the Eastern region for the past three seasons after taking over Division Two club, Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club.

Meanwhile, the Regional Football Association elections has been set for September 29, 2023.

Chibsah enjoyed a stellar career, playing for King Faisal and Asante Kotoko in Ghana before moving to Europe, where he spent most of his time in Sweden.

He also played for IFK Mariehamn, Gefle, and Djurgardens before a short stint in Turkey with Alanyaspor. Chibsah played 13 times for the national team and was a regular member of the Black Stars during the 2006 World Cup qualifiers.
