Former Gunner Martin Keown Heaps Praise on Tottenham Duo After Impressive Display for England

Tottenham defenders Kyle Walker and Danny Rose have been labelled"one of the best full-back tandems in Europe" by TV pundit and Arsenal legend Martin Keown.

The pair impressed when playing for England during the Three Lions'3-0 win over Scotland last Friday. Goals from Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Gary Cahill helped England to an easy win in the World Cup qualifier.

Despite the clinical showing in front of goal, it was Danny Rose and Kyle Walker who earned special praise from pundit MartinKeown, after both had played a key role in assisting England's first two goals.

Following England's win, the former Arsenal man told theDaily Mail: "Scotland were well-drilled at times, but being organised only gets you so far and it was England who provided the extra quality on Friday night ” in the form of Kyle Walker and Danny Rose.

"The Spurs pair look like one of the best full-back tandems in Europe, and the way they put crosses on a plate for Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana to score shows they can pick the right balls at the key moments.

"They're so attacking they're more like wingers than defenders, and they certainly improve our quality in the final third."

Both Walker and Rose appear to have now established themselves as England's first choice full-backs.

Whilst the duoimpressed for their club sideTottenham throughout last season, they were part of the England side that suffered humiliation in the European Championships in the Summer, where they were knocked out by minnowsIceland in the last 16.

With new interim manager Gareth Southgate seeking to rebuild the side, Rose and Walker look set to become an integral part of team in the coming years as the national team looks to reestablish itself on the world stage.

Both playerswill hope they cancontinue their impressive form in England's friendly match with Spain next week, where their defensive work is likely to be given a much sterner test than against Scotland.
