Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Camara Nguessan has joined Medeama SC in the on-going transfer window, Footballghana.com can confirm.

The Tarkwa-based club have secured the services of the 28-year-old Ivorian midfielder on a free transfer ahead of the commencement of the Special Football League in February at various venues.

He penned a deal with the Yellow and Mauves lads on Wednesday after fruitful negotiations and completing the formalities.

Nguessan's contract with Accra Hearts of Oak was terminated on Monday after being declared surplus to requirements by the technical handlers of the club led by coach Kim Grant.

The experienced midfielder attracted interests from several clubs in the Ghana Premier League before joining the 2014/15 MTN FA Cup winners.

It is believed that Dreams FC also expressed interest in landing the lanky midfielder on a free transfer.

He made only three league appearances for Hearts of Oak last season due to injuries.
