Former Operations manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Ernest Owusu Ansah has revealed his reasons for leaving the club after long term of service.
The veteran football administrator cited personal reasons for his decision to walk out of the club. Mr. Owusu- Ansah tendered in his resignation letter about a month ago but left the club after changes were made to the technical team.
His resignation comes after former Kotoko Express Editor, Jerome Otchere and his deputy Bernard Nyamkomago all left the club, claiming poor treatment from management.
Speaking on Kumasi based radio station, Mercury FM, the proud Kotoko servant revealed his reason for leaving.
“What issue? My work ethics will not lead me to have problems with [anyone]. I don’t have any issue with any Management member. Since they started pre-season I haven’t step my foot there. I was very busy and tired.
“Our Headmistress has died and she’s at the [mortuary]. I’m now running the school activities. What time will I get to go and follow Kotoko? So, my reason is personal” said P-Jay who is the Assistant Master at Kumasi Anglican Senior High School (KASS).
“Returning to active football administration will be difficult, not administration only, even managerial role will be difficult. I want to concentrate on school administration” said P-Jay whose father was once Kotoko Team Manager.
