Former Kotoko player Samad Oppong signs for Cyprus lower side PAEEK

Former Asante Kotoko and King Faisal midfielder Abdul Samad Oppong has joined Cypriot second-tier side PAEEK on a year deal.

Samad, 27, joins the Cyprus side after helping Anagennisi Deryneia to qualify for the top flight last season.

Oppong is expected to help PAEEK to make it to the elite division after finishing in mid table last season.

It's reported that the midfielder has the mandate to extend his deal with PAEEK if he helps them qualify to the Cypriot Premiership.

Samad Oppong had stints with King Faisal, New Edubiase United and AshGold before leaving the shores of Ghana.
