Former Liverpool Forward Says Klopp Has Made The Reds The Most Exciting Team in All of England

Ex-Liverpool and Ireland forward Robbie Keane believes that Jurgen Klopp's brand of football have made the Reds the most exciting team in England.

The Anfield side look certain to compete for the title this season under the German, who came in late last year following Brendan Rodgers' axing. They sit in second place, just one point behind leaders Chelsea, who are also flying high under a new manager in Antonio Conte.

"Liverpool under Klopp have been great," Keane told Press Association Sport (H/T theMirror).

"I love watching him on the sideline, I love his interviews and I love the way he interacts with the players.

"He is exactly what the Premier League needed and exactly what Liverpool needed.

"Look at how he's got the best out of players. (Sadio) Mane from Southampton has been exceptional, Firmino has been brilliant as have (Adam) Lallana and (Jordan) Henderson.

"He is getting the best out of players and you can see the players have bought into everything he is trying to do.

"They are the most exciting team at the moment to watch."

Keane, who made just a smattering of appearances for Liverpool, having joined from Tottenham in 2008, saw his playing time dwindle under Rafa Benitez, and would return to White Hart Lane after just one season.

Daniel Sturridge now finds himself in a similar situation at the club, but Keane thinks that he has the quality to pull through.

"I have played with players over the years who actually don't mind sitting on the bench but I certainly don't think Sturridge is like that at all.

"You can see he is desperate to play and with his quality it is only a matter of time."
