Former Medeama FC head Coach Tom Strand has confirmed he is set to travel for Ghana to complete negotiations with Accra Hearts of Oak as head coach.

The 35 year old Swedish tactician, who left for his native country earlier this year after vacating his post as head coach of Medeama, has confirmed the Phobians have contacted him to take charge of the vacant coaching position.

According to the former FA cup winner, the phobians did contact that him through his agent but as at now he isn’t aware when he will arrive in the country to conclude or ink a contract with them. ” Accra Hearts of Oak have contacted me for their head coach position and they did that through my agent.” ” But as at now I don’t know when I will arrive in Ghana to sign or conclude on contract terms.” Hearts of Oak have been without a substantive head coach after demoting Portuguese Sergio Traguil who took over during the second round of the just ended Ghana Premier League following Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s departure.
