Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan has confirmed he is closing in on a move to a new club.

The 3-year-old is on the verge of joining Indian Super League side NorthEast United as a marquee signing for the upcoming season.

Negotiations between the Guwahati-based and Gyan’s representatives are have reached an advanced stage and the deal could be announced later this month.

Ghana’s all-time highest goalscorer has confirmed to the media on Wednesday that a transfer to Asia is close to its completion.

Presently, Gyan is a free agent after terminating his contract with Turkish club Kayserispor.

He has previously played for Sunderland, Udinese, Stade Rennes, Al Ain, and Shanghai SIPG.
