Former Team Mate Backs Southampton Star for Real Madrid After Scoring Run

Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini has been on a hot streak of form lately scoring six goals in his first four game for his new side.

Gabbiadini was also robbed of a Wembley hat-trick during the EFL Final due to a poor decision from the linesman who wrongfully ruled the Italian offside.

As reported in theDaily Starand according to Gabbiadini's former Sampdoriateam-mate Stefano Okaka, now at Watford, if Gabbiadini continues in this richvain of scoring form he could be playing for Real Madrid next season.

Okaka said: I played with Gabbiadini at Sampdoria and it was an enjoyable time. He was a fantastic player because he is so clever.

The goal he scored against us [today] was down to belief “ he believed the chance would come. But in this league you can't give him space because he will punish you.

At Sampdoria he would work hard on his finishing, and he is very clinical with his left foot.

Can he become one of the leading strikers in the Premier League next season? Sure, why not? He's a good player, he's scoring a lot of goals now and next year, if he plays like this, he'll be at Real Madrid!

Okaka's comments come after a scintillating match at Vicarage Road where Southampton edged out hosts Watford 4-3 with both Okaka and Gabbiadini bothgetting on the score sheet.
