Former WAFA skipper Mohammed Alhassan holds first training session with Hearts of Oak

Accra Hearts of Oak new recruit Mohammed Alhassan held his first training session his teammates for the first time on Monday.

Alhassan trained under the supervision head coach Kim Grant for the first time and was in full swing at the club's Pobiman training centre.

He joined the Phobians on a four-year deal as a free agent from Ghana Premier League side West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC.

The 26-year-old spent four years with the Sogakope-based side and is expected to team up with Fatawu Mohammed in the Pobians' defence when the Ghana Premier League resumes.

He previously played for Kumias-based King Faisal FC.

He is known for his strong, resilient and excellent at reading how the game would unfold.

His aerial prowess is somewhat of a given but Mohammed Alhassan also plays with pace, accuracy in the tackle and positional awareness.

He made 15 appearances and scored once for WAFA the last term.
