Fortuna Düsseldorf set to terminate the contract of Nana Ampomah

Fortuna Düsseldorf and Nana Ampomah are about to part ways. The Rhinelanders are preparing to sever their relationship with the 27-year-old, according to the "Bild."

In the near future, a severance payout arrangement is anticipated. The summer marks the expiration of the left wing's working document. The winger had just been moved to the reserve squad by Fortuna after arriving from vacation too late.

The Ghanaian international violated the rules once more. Ampomah has consistently failed off the field since his debut in the summer of 2019, and the right foot winger wasn't much better in football either.

Nana Ampomah played his final professional match for Fortuna in September 2020. Meanwhile, Ampomah was loaned out to Royal Antwerp for two years.

His departure will at the very least restore peace to the dressing room since his teammates were plainly annoyed by his actions at the start of the month.

While his colleagues duly arrived at Fortuna's training ground on January 2nd, the 27-year-old arrived three days late. Supposedly because he couldn't take the flight. As punishment, Ampomah was not allowed to go to the training camp and had to train with the U23s.

"That's not right, that's not possible," said captain Andre Hoffmann to "Bild". "We all have employment contracts. We should appear here on January 2nd in the afternoon. Something like that doesn't work. It wasn't well received. That's also not okay with the team to some extent. That's not the first story he's heard has allowed itself in recent years."
