Forward David Atanga returns to Kiel after his loan spell with Admira ended

Almost three and a half weeks after the last competitive game of the 2020/21 season, the storks have ended the summer break and started preparations for the coming season. At a pleasant 18 degrees, the KSV professionals completed the opening training for the season preparation in Kiel-Projensdorf on Wednesday afternoon.

After the sports medical examination and performance diagnostics were on the program on Monday and the mandatory lactate test on Tuesday, coach Ole Werner's players entered the training ground at 3:28 pm.

There were not only newcomers Marcel Benger, Julian Korb, and Holmbert Aron Fridjonsson, but also Lion Lauberbach, David Atanga, Rudi Baku, Philipp Sander, Daniel Hanslik and Timon Weiner, who were loaned out last season. In addition to Ahmet Arslan, who had operated on the cruciate ligament, only Stefan Thesker was missing.

After the warm-up and the subsequent getting used to the ball, the storks went into one form of play: first small, then large goals, before Werner, who in addition to his previous co-trainers Patrick Kohlmann and Fabian Boll also from the new "co" Dirk Bremser was supported, the unit ended satisfied after almost 75 minutes.

The first test match will be played on Friday, July 2nd at 3:30 p.m. against the Danish first division club Randers FC, the season starts for the weekend of 23/24/25.

David Atanga made 15 appearances for Admira on loan, he scored two goals and assisted three goals.
