Franck Etouga praises Asante Kotoko teammates after win over Legon Cities

Cameroonian forward, Franck Etouga has lauded his Asante Kotoko teammates following their all-important win against Legon Cities.

The Porcupine Warriors returned to winning ways against the Royals in the matchday 9 games at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Sunday.

Etouga netted a brace in Kotoko’s 2-1 win against Maxwell Konadu's side.

He poked home the Porcupine Warriors’ opener in the 29th minute after an assist from countryman, Georges Mfegue.

“Well, thanks to the team. It’s the performance of the team and not mine [alone]," he told StarTimes after the game.

“It’s the work from training. We worked for good results.

“It’s the performance of all the team. Thank God I scored twice today. We thank God.” Frank Etouga told StarTimes in French as translated by Africa-foot.com’s Adamu Muftawu.

Asante Kotoko had gone three games without a win prior to meeting Legon Cities FC.

They pulled a goalless draw at Karela United in week six, fell 3-2 at the Baba Yara Stadium to King Faisal before being held to a 1-1 draw at home to Real Tamale United in week eight.

The record Ghana Premier League holders, [24 titles] have now raked in 17 points with a week seven outstanding against rivals, Hearts of Oak.

Their next fixture is against West Africa Football Academy in week 10 at the Baba Yara Stadium.
