Ghana and Tianjin Teda winger Frank Acheampong claims he is happy to have escaped relegation with his side in the Chinese Super League.
Acheampong featured in 26 games and bagged a remarkable 17 goals for the Chinese Super League side this term.
His continuous goalscoring form was key as he played an instrumental role as Teda survived relegation in the Chinese top-flight.
“We were going down but thank God we survived and I must say that it was an amazing season,” the 25-year-old said.
“It was a very memorable season for us and me as well. I just have to thank the fans for their support,” he added.
Acheampong joined Tianjin Teda on a six-month loan deal from Anderlecht in 2017 where he scored four goals in 12 appearances in the 2017 season which secured Tianjin Teda's stay in the top flight for the next season.
On 8 November 2017, Tianjin Teda exercised the option to permanently sign Acheampong.
He has previously played for King Faisal Babes, Berekum Chelsea and Buriram United,
