Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC defender Frank Akoto has stressed that he is confident the team will bounce back from their 6-1 defeat to WAFA on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
In what was a Match Week 12 fixture at the Sogakope Park yesterday, the Academy Boys disgraced the Miners with an impressive performance which ended in a big win.
In a Twitter post after suffering the humiliating defeat, Ashgold defender Frank Akoto shared his disappointment. He, however, expressed confidence that the Obuasi-based side will come back stronger.
“Bad day at the office. Let’s put this behind us guys and move. We win as a team and loose together. More ahead. Safe journey. we move. Miners”, Frank Akoto indicated.
The defeat has seen Ashanti Gold dropping from 1st to 4th on the standings of the Ghana Premier League.
